The Ulloa PTA

Founded in 1997, the Ulloa PTA is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to the health, safety, and enrichment of the children at Ulloa Elementary School. Comprised of parents and teachers, the organization is a highly active contributor to many events and programs benefiting the Ulloa's students. Generous contributions from Ulloa PTA members fund the school's many programs such as Physical Education that provides critical fine motor skills and coordination for our younger students and contributes vital physical conditioning for the older children preparing for 5th grade fitness evaluations. Additionally, the Ulloa PTA provides grants to each grade level for field trips, educational supplies and/or specialized instruction. Throughout the year, PTA volunteers assist and host many events, including our Haunted House, Halloween Parade, School-wide Picnic, Book Fair, Fish Print Day, Family Science Night, Read Aloud Day, Fun Day, and Walk-a-thon. Our purpose is to promote the welfare of children in home, school, and community; To bring into closer relationship the home and school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children, and to to develop between educators and the general public such united efforts to secure for all children the highest advantage in physical, mental, and social education. Our goals are to increase parent participation; to assist and support the school staff by working in a cooperative role; to plan programs and activities to meet community needs, and to raise funds that are necessary to meet the needs of the activities that are planned.
